Providers with automatic setup
The current dashboard recognizes automatic setup for Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Vercel, IONOS, Glauca Digital, NameSilo, and Plesk. It can detect Amazon Route 53, Google Domains, Namecheap, DigitalOcean, DNSimple, Hover, Squarespace, and Azure DNS, but those providers use manual setup in the current flow.1
Add the domain
Signal inspects authoritative nameservers and displays the detected provider.
2
Open Records
Select Setup when automatic setup is available.
3
Approve at the provider
Sign in to the DNS provider, review the proposed records, and approve only the expected domain.
4
Return to Signal
Signal starts verification after the provider flow completes.
Wait for public DNS propagation and review each record status.
If automatic setup is unavailable
Copy the record type, host, value, priority, and TTL into the authoritative provider manually. Automatic setup availability can also depend on the current environment configuration. If setup fails
- Confirm the detected provider still hosts authoritative DNS.
- Confirm you approved the correct provider account and zone.
- Disable browser blockers that prevent the provider handoff.
- Check whether the provider rejected one record because a conflicting record exists.
- Fall back to manual setup instead of repeatedly approving an unclear change.
